Opinions?

the kindle is great. you no longer have to go to the store and buy a book for full lrice since you can buy it on your kindle with a discount on every book! its oblivious kindle is better.
-
the kindle is a device that if you get a new one, even if the old one breaks, you can transfer all the books you bought to the new device. iv had 4 kindles so far, and im still with all the books i bought on the other 3.
(just fyi,its buy, not by. sorry. i couldnt resist X3)
if you trust your friend enough, you could lend him/her your kindle for the one book. -
(Will post my opinion when more people post)

Ariana9 NewbieI like traditional books better, but other people have valid points.

Regular books are better. Much easier to go back and read certain spots if you want to. Plus, you don't have to worry about it dying on you.
-
definitely regular books
-
Reading a book on a tablet does have the advantage of being light, compact, and less expensive but personally for me I do better with paper books, especially when I'm trying to learn something it just feels better for me to have it in my hands and touching it rather than scrolling on a screen. Plus you can stack paper books up on a shelf and they look nice

Regular book.
-
I like both.
I find it funny that Absol is the one correcting grammar here? -
Both.
Regular books are convenient and you can take email wherever you go.
Virtual Book give a crisp, HD, glimsp of the regular book and Electronics are awesome. -
I hate kindles. Read a book, with pages. You get the smell, the feel, and the joy of real pages. The words come alive. Plus, it is easier to flip through the pages if you need to check back in the book.

Absol, if you were correcting grammar, correct your own. It's obvious, not oblivious. I should know. I am quite often oblivious, and miss obvious stuff. Besides, if you are on a long car ride, your kindle will probably die. Cliffhanger, and no one likes those. And if you are reading a collection of poems, like Edgar Allan Poe or something, and you want to read the Raven, but it is in the middle of the book, how are you to read it? You would have to flip through every single page, while in a book, you can just look in the table of contents. What if you had to make a literary essay on a book, and you needed text evidence? Time to flip through every page.

Okay. So.
I like virtual books better.
True, they can die on you. True...everything Andi said xD
As for regular books being more convenient? I don't really agree...regular books are sort of a hassle to hold...with kindles, you can just turn them on and hold it easily and read on it, then just turn it off when you're done. It saves your page.
Often when you open a regular book, the bookmark falls out. Which is way more annoying than it sounds XD A lot of time when I'm trying to read before class or something, that happens with the bookmark or it gets in my way or something.
Okay I'm getting a little off topic but I just think they're annoying to have to hold because like you have to hold the spine and you can't just set it down without it closing on you. Kindles you can prop up on something and not even have to hold it while you read. If you try to do that with a book, it closes on you.
Another thing is, you can't read a traditional book in the dark. I mean...obviously. You can't see the words. Or, even in partial darkness, it's bad for your eyes (not the best argument, considering kindle screens are also bad for your eyes XD). But with kindles, you can read in the dark and you don't need a flashlight or some s---. BUT you can't see a kindle screen in sunlight. I mean...you can see it but there's a glare.
Anyway, my main point here is the fact that TRADITIONAL BOOKS KILL TREES, KINDLES DON'T. That is my main concern...like....yeah. That's pretty much all I care about when it comes to this so....all of the other cons of kindles don't really bother me as long as it's saving trees.
And finally.....VIRTUAL BOOKS ARE BASICALLY ROBOTS. ROBOTS. -
Oh and the thing about flipping through every page....there's a table of contents on a kindle....
