  OH AND (maybe not on all devices but at least on iBooks) you can highlight stuff. Yes, you can highlight on a regular book too. BUT what if you mess up? On iBooks, you can un-highlight it. You can also take notes on the stuff you highlighted. Now, would you want a bunch of neon colors and sticky notes in your regular book? Probably not. And virtual sticky notes = less trees killed.
