does anyone else have a purity ring, or promised to save yourself till marriage? Just curious. I took the vow last year, and I'm really glad I did.

Yeah. I had a ring, but I had put it in my sock during soccer (otherwise we'd have to do crazy punishments during the extreme heat, and no one else wanted to, so..) and it fell out.
Purity can be a promise you make at any time. We all have a past: but Jesus gave us the chance to have our past wiped clean and forgotten, complete forgiveness. I know there are a lot of things I could forget about my past, but... -

I'm still a virgin, but not because I'm saving myself. It's really more because I don't think any girl in their right mind would want me. And really I'm just not very good with relationships. My best shot is probably f---ing random strangers.

Too many STDS out there, and you're less likely to get a sexual disease from your hubby/wifey.
