I don't have a purity ring, and I don't plan on getting one. I don't care if I have sex before marriage or if I wait. I'm not all pure and overly worried about being a virgin or not, but I would never whore around or anything, either. -
Had sex. It's not all it's cracked up to be. And at least at this point, if I do get married, it wont be wrapped up with the taboo of sex. It will be unrelated. It will be separate all together. I don't have to reward myself for getting married. If I ever do, it will be because I wanted to. Not because of the nagging hormonal pressure to get laid.

So if he's rough in bed, or completely insecure with his body; you don't want to know until you're already in a legally binding contract?
Some guys literally do grab women by the throat during sex. It's not a conscious act, but it happens.
Or who's to say that they aren't what you were expecting? Congratulations, you're now legally bound to that person.
