Connor blushed and smiled, hesitantly resting a hand on the small of Evan’s back. “What’s your favorite kind of cat?” He asked, watching the brunette pet the cat in his lap.

Evan flinched a little, sitting up a little straighter. “Uh- I- I like those, um, munchkin cats. The short ones?” He said, continuing to pet the cat.

“Aww, those are cute, yeah~” Connor replied with a smile, pulling his hand back a little. “I uh, I like the uh- f---, what’re they called, the maine coons? They’re so cool, and so fluffy~”

“Ooh, yeah, those are so soft,” Evan nodded, smiling a little.

“They really are,” Connor said with a smile, carefully resting his hand on Evan’s back again, not wanting to make him uncomfortable.

“We fostered one of those, and they were really loud,” Evan said, chuckling quietly.

“Pfft- That’s funny,” Connor said with a chuckle, leaning a little closer to Evan and reaching his other hand over to pet the cat in his lap.

Evan jumped a little, his hand accidentally running into Connor’s. “Sorry-“

“You’re good-“ Connor said softly with a smile, rubbing Evan’s back with his left hand for a moment.

“I kinda want this one,” Evan said softly, smiling as he heard the cat start to purr.

“He sure seems to like you,” Connor said with a smile, reaching out to pet the cat in Evan’s lap.

“He’s obviously not the only one-“ Evan said with a chuckle, turning his head to Connor.

“Shut up,” Connor said with a chuckle, his face heating up as he leaned into Evan’s side more.

“Aw, somebody’s embarrassed, I can hear it~” Evan teased, chuckling.

“You’re one to talk~” Connor said with a quiet chuckle, rubbing Evan’s back with his thumb.
