“Was it good?” Connor asked, his face growing bright red along with his smile.

“Yeah, it was really good,” Evan said with a nod, giggling.

Connor turned an even brighter shade of red and smiled, kissing Evan’s lips again happily.

Evan smiled brightly, kissing him back. He hesitantly moved a hand up, resting it awkwardly on Connor’s jaw.

Connor smiled happily, moving one arm around Evan’s waist and holding him close as he kissed him.

“Do you guys-“ Eloise said, opening the door again. “OH- s---- SORRY, sorry!” She said, quickly backing out. Evan jumped, quickly moving away and disturbing the cat on his lap. “Oh- dang it-“

Connor flushed red and pulled away from Evan, chuckling awkwardly as he looked over at Eloise.

Evan curled his legs into his chest, covering his face with his hands out of embarrassment. “Sorry- but I KNEW IT- I knew there was something between you two-“ Eloise said, coming back to the doorway.

Connor stared at his lap, a nervous and embarrassed look on his face as he tried to come up with something to say.

“Are you guys-“ “Eloise, what did you want before?” Evan snapped, turning his head towards her. “Uh- I was gonna ask if you guys wanted to give the cats some treats.”

“Yeah, that’d- that’d be nice,” Connor replied with an embarrassed chuckle, nodding a little.

“Okay,” Eloise said awkwardly, climbing over the baby gate and over to a closet. She opened it, shaking it to get the cats attention as she walked over and handed it to Connor. “Not too many, obviously-“

“Of course, yeah,” Connor replied with a nod, taking the box. “Thank you,” he said, a small smile on his face.

“Course, yeah,” Eloise said with a small smile, heading to the door again. “Have fun, you two~” “Shut up!”

Connor chuckled, waving a little as Eloise left. “Well, that certainly wasn’t awkward-“
