“That’s nice,” Evan said quietly, setting his phone back down again.

Connor exhaled shakily, setting his journal down. "Thanks," he murmured softly, trying to keep his hands from shaking as he adjusted his phone nervously.

“Um- I think I’m gonna go take a nap,” Evan said quietly.

"O-Oh, okay-" Connor spoke softly, nodding as he looked back at the camera. "I'll- I'll see you later?"

“Uh, yeah, sure,” Evan said quietly, forcing another cough before hanging up the call and curling into a ball.

"Bye-" Connor said as the call ended, exhaling shakily. He stared down at his hands for a moment before grabbing his phone, pocketing it and going back to drawing. It's fine, I'm sure he's not trying to be rude- It's not like those other times, he's- he's different-

Connor hummed nervously as he pulled up to Evan's house, getting out and grabbing his little gift basket he made. He walked up to the front door, ringing the doorbell. -
Evan’s dad opened the door, his smile growing wide. “Hey, Connor! Haven’t seen you around here in a while! What’s the occasion?” He said, gesturing to the basket.

"I uh, brought this for Evan- He said he wasn't feeling good a few days ago and I've been uh, trying to call him but he hasn't picked up, so I wanted to check on him," Connor replied, smiling a little.

Evan’s dad furrowed his brows. “He didn’t tell me he wasn’t feeling well-“ he said, glancing toward the stairs. “But- uh, go head on up, he should be in his room.”
