Connor hummed as he sat as his desk, propping his phone up and calling Evan before going back to drawing. -
Evan was laying in bed, jumping as his phone started ringing. He froze as he saw it was Connor calling him, hesitantly answering. “Hello?”

"Hey, baby~" Connor said, smiling at Evan. "What'cha doin' right now?"

“Uh, nothing really,” Evan said quietly, averting the camera from his face. “What about you?”

"I'm just drawing- Thought I'd see if you wanted to come over and hang out~" Connor replied, looking down at the journal on the table with a smile.

“Um- I dunno,” Evan said quietly, his heart racing as he tried to think of an excuse. “I- I don’t feel very well,” he lied. It wasn’t really a lie- he was feeling like s---, but for… other reasons.

"Oh- I mean, if you want I could come over, instead-" Connor said, looking back at the camera. "We could just chill, watch movies or whatever~"

“No- I- I don’t want you to get sick- or- or anything,” Evan said, forcing a small cough.

Connor furrowed his brows a little, nodding. "O-Oh, right, yeah," he spoke softly, looking down at his journal. "Well uhm, do- do you just want to chat, then? On call??"

“Um- yeah, I guess so,” Evan said, trying to sound as disinterested as possible, even if it hurt Connor’s feelings - it was for his own good.

Connor exhaled shakily, his hold on the pencil in his hand tightening for a moment. He's just not feeling well, nothing's wrong- Just, relax, there's probably a reason- "So uh, how's- how's your morning been?" He asked, glancing at the phone before going back to drawing.

“Uh- I haven’t really done anything,” Evan said quietly. “What about you?”

"I've just been uhm, drawing-" Connor replied, gesturing to his journal. "Do- Do you wanna see what I've been working on?" He asked quietly, a small smile on his face.

“Uh- I guess so,” Evan said quietly, moving the phone back towards his face so he could see.

Connor smiled a little more and held up his journal, showing off a realistic drawing of a bird on a window sill. "Started it this morning, I'm almost done with it~"
