"I'm here, I'm right here, baby-" Connor spoke as he hesitantly pulled Evan closer, resting his hand on the brunette's. "Do- Do you need something?"

Evan took some deep breaths, a choked sob escaping his lips as he latched onto Connor again.

Connor wrapped his arms around Evan and held him close, rubbing his back as he kissed his head. "You're okay, I've got you."

“Holy- f---, that was awful,” Evan said shakily, still trying to get a hold of his breathing as he gripping Connor’s shirt in his fists.

"You're okay, just take deep breaths," Connor spoke softly, holding Evan close and continuing to rub his back. "I've got you, you're okay."

Evan stopped his sputtering, using all of his focus to try and get his breathing under control.

Connor took deep breaths with Evan, closing his eyes as he held him close.

Evan whimpered quietly, his breathing finally steady. “I’m- I’m sorry-“

"Hey, don't apologize, okay?" Connor spoke softly, rubbing Evan's back. "You're okay, that's all that matters~"

“Okay,” Evan whispered, clinging onto Connor like his life life depended on it. “It’s awkward waking up with you, because you always scare me, but it’s always better when you’re there.”

Connor chuckled softly, nodding. "Yeah, that makes sense," he said softly, running a hand through his hair.

“Sorry- I- God- I f---in hate this-“ Evan said, his voice breaking.

"Hey, I told you you don't have to apologize," Connor spoke in a stern but gentle voice, cupping Evan's face in his cheeks. "Look at me- I'm right here with you, through all of this, okay? You think I'm gonna get scared off by some freak outs over nightmares, you're crazy, babe- I've been through the same thing, and I know this sounds cliche, but it gets better with time. Promise."

Evan listened, tears filling his eyes as he listened. “You’re too nice to me-“ he said, his voice thick as a sob slipped past his lips.
