Evan paused, trying not to freak out. He- holy s---, he loves me? me?? How- Oh God- “Oh- Connor, it’s- it’s okay, really-“

"And I- I don't want you think I'm- to think I'm weird for it, and- and I don't just want y-you to- to pity me, and-" Connor squeezed his eyes shut, breathing heavily and shakily as he gripped his hair tightly in his hands.

“Connor, Con, please breathe, stop thinking for a second and calm down,” Evan said softly, rubbing Connor’s back.

Connor exhaled shakily and leaned into Evan's touch, burying his face in his chest as he tried to calm down.

“Take a deep breath, here, with me,” Evan whispered, inhaling dramatically.

Connor exhaled shakily, copying Evan by breathing in and out deeply.

“Good job,” Evan said softly, rubbing Connor’s back. “Now- Connor, I don’t think you’re any of those things you said, okay? It’s totally fine that you l- it’s totally fine what you said.”

"But- W-What did I say?" Connor asked softly, furrowing his brows. He pause and thought for a moment before freezing, blushing profusely.

“You didn’t realize?” Evan asked with a small grin, rubbing Connor’s back.

"No, I didn't- Not until just now," Connor spoke softly, his face bright red. "I- I do love you, like- a lot. I-I understand if you don't- y'know, if you don't feel the same way towards me, though-"

“Uh- not- I don’t think I’m ready- for that, yet,” Evan said softly, glancing anywhere but Connor’s eyes.

"No, I- I get it," Connor spoke softly, exhaling. He buried his face in Evan's chest again, clinging to the brunette.

“It doesn’t make me like you any less, though,” Evan said quietly, holding Connor close.

Connor nodded a little, exhaling shakily. "I'm sorry-"

“Don’t be sorry for feeling your feelings,” Evan said softly, shrugging.
