"Yes it f-f---ing is-" Clay spoke shakily, moving closer to George and wrapping his arms around him. "If- If we n-never got t-together, this- this never would've h-happened..."

“No, stop saying s--- like that,” George cried quietly. “That’s not how fault works. Please stop-“

Clay let out a shaky sob, clinging to George. "I- I love you s-so much, George, I'm so s-sorry this- this happened t-to you-" He said through his sobs, burying his face in his boyfriend's shoulder.

“I know you’re sorry, but it’s not your fault,” George said, sobbing quietly.

Clay let out another shaky sob, holding George close. "I-I missed you s-so much," he spoke in barely a whisper, his hands trembling violently.

“I missed you too-“ George whispered, clinging onto Clay.

Clay lifted his head and rested his chin on George's shoulder, sniffling softly. "I'm s-so glad nothing t-terrible happened t-to you," he spoke quietly, his voice straining a little.

“Ye- yeah,” George whispered, memories flashing into his head. “Nothing- nothing terrible.” -
“It’s not your fault,” George whispered, leaning into Clay’s touch.

"S-Still, I- I wasn't there, I- I sh-should've been there to- to protect you," Clay said through shaky sobs, gently resting his head on George's shoulder. -

“You did know,” George said, holding Clay close. -
