The crowd dispersed and Sam sighed softly, looking back at the way Clay left. "I hope this works," she mumbled, crossing her arms over her chest as she moved over to her dad.
-
“I know,” He said softly, turning away from the crowd. “If it doesn’t, I’m sending out a search party.”
-
"Good idea," Sam replied with a quiet voice, nodding. "I hate seeing Clay all worried sick- He doesn't eat and hardly speaks at all..."
-
“Yeah, it’s really hard to see him like this,” The king said quietly, glancing over to where Clay had left. “But we’ll get George back here safe by tomorrow.”
-
"I hope so," Sam replied softly, nodding. She exhaled quietly and turned, walking off.

Clay sat in his car at the same meet up spot, his hands gripping onto the steering wheel as he waited for the masked man to arrive. -
A dark van with the license plate pulled up next to Clay’s in the empty parking lot. The masked man climbed out, heading around to meet Clay. “You have the money?”
-
Clay nodded as he got out of the car, pulling out an envelope of cash and handing it to the man. "Where is he?" He asked, his voice quiet and a little strained
-
“Is there anybody with you? Do you have any weapons? Cameras?” The man said, opening the envelope and flipping through the money to make sure it was all there.
-
Clay shook his head no, crossing his arms over his chest. "You've got your money, now give George back," he spoke shakily.
-
“Since when do you make the calls?” He said, furrowing his brows and heading towards the back of his van. He opened it, heaving George to his feet who still had his hands bound, eyes and ears covered and the gag still in his mouth. “Here you go.” he said, shoving George toward him. “Watch your back.”
-
Clay let out a shaky breath as he caught his boyfriend, tears filling his eyes. He pulled off the blindfold with shaky hands, taking the gag out of his mouth and starting to untie him as he began to cry. "Thank God you're okay," he kept whispering, trying not to break down right then and there.
