“Clay? Is it okay?” George whispered, starting to heading out.
-
“Yeah, you- you can come out,” Clay spoke quietly, listening for a moment to make sure his mom was gone.
-
George crawled out, quickly moving over to Clay. “You okay?”
-
Clay exhaled shakily, gripping his hair with one hand as he shook his head.
-
George moved over, wrapping an arm around Clay’s shoulder. “Remember to breathe-“
-
Clay tried taking deep breaths, tears beginning to roll down his face. “I- I’m so- so f---ing tired of t-this…” He muttered, inhaling shakily as he leaned into George’s side.
-
“I know, hun, c’mere,” he said softly, holding his other arm out.
-
Clay exhaled shakily as he let go of his hair, moving to hug onto George and bury his face in the crook of his neck. He clung to the brunette, sobbing quietly.
-
George exhaled quietly, holding Clay close and rubbing his back. “It’s okay, it’s okay-“
-
Clay exhaled shakily, taking deep breaths as he tried to calm down.
-
“Just breathe, hun, you’re gonna be okay,” George whispered, holding him close.
-
Clay inhaled and exhaled shakily, curling closer to George. “I-I’m so tired of this…” He murmured through his tears, slowly calming down.
-
“I know baby, I know,” George said quietly, running a hand through Clays hair.
-
Clay soon calmed down more, continuing to take quiet, deep breaths, He exhaled softly, lifting his head and wiping his eyes. “I just- I just want her to not hate me…” He murmured, his voice still a little shaky.
-
“Well, I don’t think she deserves to love you,” George whispered.
