“Wha- Jared, you realize he is the heir of this kingdom? We would be the laughing stocks of the- the world!” The queen said, glaring at her husband.
-
“I’m well aware, Cassidy,” Jared spoke, moving around the desk, “but I would rather be a laughing stock with a son who’s in a happy, healthy relationship, then a son who resents me because I don’t accept him.” Clay let out a small sigh, smiling a little.
-
“Jared, I can’t f---ing believe you’re saying this right now-“ Cassidy said angrily, pointing an accusing finger at her husband.
-
“And I can’t believe how you’re reacting to this,” Jared said, furrowing his brows and crossing his arms over his chest. “There’s nothing wrong with our son being gay-“
-
“No- Jared- ugh,” Cassidy groaned loudly, clenching her hands into fists. “He’s a f---ing f—!” She exclaimed angrily, gesturing to Clay.
-
Clay flinched and stepped away from his mother, looking down at the ground. “And you’re acting like a f---ing child, Cassidy,” Jared said bluntly, moving closer. He gently grabbed Clay’s hand, pulling him over. “If I don’t care about his sexuality, neither should you.”
-
“Why shouldn’t I??” She said angrily, glaring at her husband. “This is unacceptable, for both of you-“
-
“If you think our son being gay is unacceptable, that’s your own problem,” Jared said, glaring back at his wife as he wrapped an arm around Clay’s shoulder.
-
The queen stuttered for a moment before pointing another accusing finger at Jared. “This is not the end of this conversation-“ She said before storming out.
-
Clay let out a breath he was holding, watching his mother walk off. “God, she’s gonna be the death of me,” Jared said with a sigh, shaking his head. He looked over at Clay, rubbing his arm. “Are you okay?” Clay nodded, looking over at his father. “Yeah, I’m- I’m okay-“
(do we wanna do smth between them n you be the dad, or ts?) -
(uhhhhh we can do smth between them u^u)
“Im sorry about your mother- she- she still lives a little old-fashioned,” Jared said, somewhat bitter. -
“Yeah, no s---,” Clay muttered, exhaling shakily. “So, you’re- you’re okay with me being, y’know, gay?” He asked in a quiet voice, looking down at the floor.
-
“Yeah, Clay, I am,” Jared said with a nod, gently squeezing his son’s shoulder. “As long as your happy, I don’t care what you are-“
-
Clay smiled and wrapped an arm around Jared, hugging him. “That’s good to hear,” he said, exhaling softly.
-
Jared smiled, hugging his son for a moment before pulling away. “So- who is this boyfriend? One of your co-workers?”
