“Oh, yeah, of course,” Jared said with a nod. “But if he is, just let me know and we’ll set up a time to meet-“

“Yeah, totally,” Clay replied with a smile, nodding.

“Alright- and tell me if your mother gives you any trouble, okay?” He said, patting Clay on the back.

“I will, yeah,” Clay spoke, smiling a little. “Well I uh, I should get going, I- Well, I was gonna go see George, actually~” He said, chuckling softly as he started to walk off.

“Alright, I’ll see you,” Jared said with a soft smile, waving a little.

“Bye-“ Clay said with a small smile, waving at his dad as he left his office. He exhaled with relief, rubbing his face in his hands. He pulled out his phone and sent a text to his boyfriend.

George texted back, smiling a little. -

Clay exhaled softly as he pocketed his phone, quickly heading to his room as he tried to calm down. Yes, he was glad it had went as smoothly as it did, but he was still terrified about what his mother might do. -

George made his way up to Clay’s room, slipping in before he could be seen. “Hello?” -
Clay paused his pacing and looked over, exhaling softly. “Hi-“ He said with an awkward smile, walking over to George and wrapping his arms around him.

“Hi,” George greeted again, smiling as he wrapped his arms around Clay. “What’s going on? What’s your text about?”

“Uh, yeah, so- I kind of came out to my parents,” Clay said, exhaing softly as he clung to George.

George’s expression dropped and he studied Clay’s expression for a moment. “Woah- are you okay? What happened?”

"I'm okay, I promise-" Clay replied, nodding. "I- I got into a fight with my mom and I just- I just said I had a boyfriend without meaning to, and then she told my dad- But he's okay with it! He's- he's okay with me being gay and stuff~" He added, smiling a little.

“Wait- shut up, no way,” George said with a soft smile. “That’s so crazy- wait, I’m so happy for you!”
