Casimir smiled and kissed the back of their hand. They got to the dining room, and Casimir opened the door for them.

"Why, thank you~" Georgie said, giggling softly as they entered the dining room.

Casimir chuckled. He glanced over at the dining table to see his parents and siblings on one side, and his extended family on the other. There was his grandparents, uncle and two cousins. The youngest one, around 8, looked at Georgie. ‘What happened to her arm?’
Casimir wrapped an arm around Georgie. ‘Mind your business, Frank.’ -
Georgie giggled softly, leaning into Casimir's side. "It's a long story~" They said to the younger boy.

Casimir gave a small smile and sat down at the head of the table. There was a seat for Georgie closest to him on the left side.

Georgie moved to sit on Casimir's left, adjusting their skirt before sitting down beside him.

Casimir’s grandmother narrowed his eyes at her grandson. ‘That’s the gimp, isn’t it?’
Casimir grabbed Georgie’s hand from under the table. ‘Nice to see you too, grandmother. Don’t call them that.’
‘Them? Is that one of those new generation things?’
(Gimp is an 1800s slur for ppl with physical disabilities) -
(ah gotcha)
Georgie pursed their lips awkwardly, looking down at their lap. They felt Casimir's hand grab their own and exhaled, relaxing a little. They looked back up, trying to find something to say. -
‘No, i-it’s very much an old thing,’ Casimir said, rubbing the back of their hand.
The oldest cousin, around 18 or 19, spoke up. ‘It’s when a person doesn’t identify as either a boy or a girl, ma.’
‘How- You know what, I’m not even going to try,’ the old woman muttered. -
"Yes, I uhm- Well, I go by whatever," Georgie spoke softly, gently tapping their foot against the floor. "Male, female, nonbinary-"
(dunno if there's a term for nonbinary back then or not so imma just go with that for now lol) -
(Me neither lol, we can just go with that for now)
‘Fine, you’re a girl then. You’re wearing a skirt,’ the old woman said. Casimir squeezed their hand. He decided not to argue for now.
‘S-So, uh, how have you guys been?’ Casimir asked, trying to start friendly conversation.
(Could you be the grandpa and uncle pls?) -
(sure, yeah :)
do we want the uncle to be kinda rude to georgie or no?)
"Eh, we've been fine," Casimir's uncle replied, chuckling softly. "Business has been a bit slow, but nothing out of the usual-" -
(I mean he’ll probably be fine with them until he finds out about their leg lol-)
Casimir nodded, grip on Georgie’s hand relaxing. ‘That’s good.’ -
(pfft- lmaoo)
"How about you? I'm sure the wedding planning's been stressful," Casimir's uncle said, chuckling softly. "You two excited~?" Georgie smiled a little, nodding. "Yes, very~" -
Casimir smiled. ‘It’s gonna be amazing,’ he said.
