“Yeah, it definitely was, especially in high school- We got into a lot of trouble, let’s just say~” Alex joked, chuckling softly as he got into the car.

Nick chuckled. “I wish I could’ve been there for that,” he said, starting the car and pulling out.

“I’m sure you would’ve fit right in~” Alex said with a chuckle, smiling as he buckled up. “You can always join our group now- If you don’t hate me and Clay for getting mad at you, of course.”

“Hm, I don’t hold grudges,” Nick said with a shrug, focusing on the road. “But yeah, it’s whatever.”

Alex nodded, pulling out his phone. He chuckled softly, smiling at a message he got from Karl. “Well, Clay finally managed to slip away from work, that’s good-“

“Is he at the house?” Nick asked, glancing over.

“Yeah, I think so,” Alex replied, nodding.

“Nice,” Nick said, tapping the steering wheel.

Alex hummed softly, checking his socials.

They pulled up soon after, parking the car in the driveway and hopping out. He opened the back door, grabbing as many of the bags as he could and heading to the door.

Alex hopped out and grabbed the rest of the bags, following him to the front door.

“Hello?” Nick called as they walked in, holding the door open with his foot for Alex. Clay froze in his spot next to Karl on the couch, not knowing what to say to Nick.

“Hey, you’re back~“ Karl said, smiling at Nick. “What’s up, f---ers~” Alex said with a chuckle, heading into the kitchen with the groceries.

“Yep, we survived,” Nick said with a quiet chuckle, following Alex to the kitchen and setting the bags on the counter. “Okay, Karl, we’ve got cherries, vanilla ice cream, and stuff for pasta and meatballs.”

“You got pasta stuff, too?” Karl asked, blushing a little and smiling. “Wow, you- you really thought of everything~“ Alex smirked, watching the blushing brunette with a chuckle.
