“Yeah, and he’ll get better,” Nick said, opening his door for Karl’s dad and moving into Karl’s room to put the bag down.

Karl walked out of the bathroom and into his room, seeing his dad and Nick. “Hey, Dad-“ He said with a smile, walking over to the bed and sitting down. “Hey, kiddo,” his father said with a smile, making the brunette blush a little. “How’s your knee?” “It’s okay, I’m okay,” Karl said, chuckling softly.

Nick set the bag down, humming quietly as he tried to stay out of the way of the two. “Yeah, and he’s been eating pretty well-“

“Really? That’s good~” Karl’s father said with a smile, rubbing Nick’s arm. Karl chuckled softly, yawning a little as he nodded. “Ah, you must be tired, I’m sure,” his father added, chuckling softly. “I’ll let you get some rest-“

“Also, you’re free to come over whenever you want,” Nick said with a soft smile.

Karl’s dad smiled, nodding to Nick. “Thank you- And thank you for taking care of my son, Nick,” he said with a smile, moving back to the door. “Well, I’ll let you get some rest- Have a good night, boys,” he said, waving as he walked off. “Night, Dad,” Karl spoke with a yawn, stretching. He grabbed the bag, opening it.

“We will, thank you!” Nick said with a smile, trusting him to get home and turning to Karl. “Do you need anything? Too hot? Too cold?”

“It’s a little warm in here, yeah,” Karl said, chuckling softly. “I get weirdly hot in my sleep, so if you could turn the AC down, that’s be great~” He pulled out a pair of pajamas, setting it on the bed.

“Yeah, totally,” Nick said with a soft smile. “Uh- by the way- I had to grab a night shift tonight, so I’ll be gone. But if you need anything, just call me, okay?”

Karl nodded, giving Nick a thumbs up. “Got it~” He replied, smiling. He hummed softly as he stood up with his crutches, heading towards the bathroom with his pajamas. “Have a good night at work~” He said with a smile, leaving his room and entering the bathroom again.

“Sleep well~” Nick said with a smile, going to change and get ready for work.
(ts maybe to the next morning? maybe karl could get up as nick is coming home and he could be really tired) -

Karl yawned softly as he came out of the bathroom, running a hand through his hair as he walked into Nick’s living room. He moved so sit down on the couch and set his crutches down beside him, tugging at his shorts to cover up the scars on his thighs. He hummed as he searched for the TV remote, finding it snd turning it on. -
Nick opened the door, dragging himself inside and setting his shoes and bag by the door. “Good night,” he mumbled with a small smile, looking over at Karl.

Karl looked over, giggling softly. “Night, Nick~” He said with a small smile, waving as he walked in.

“Wait- you gotta eat something,” Nick mumbled, walking into the kitchen. “Do- do you want another banana?”
