Jared smiled and nodded, looking over at his dad. He hugged him again, exhaling softly. “I love you-“

“I love you too, kiddo,” His dad said, patting his back before letting go. “Don’t give Liam’s mom too much trouble, okay? I’ll be back tonight.”

Jared chuckled, nodding. “Got it, bye,” he spoke with a small smile, letting go of his dad and grabbing Liam’s hand.

“Seriously, if you need anything, call me,” Jared’s dad said before saying goodbye a last time and heading for the door.

Jared nodded and said goodbye again, waving as his dad left. Jared exhaled softly, hugging onto Liam. “God, I feel so much better,” he murmured softly, resting his head on Liam’s shoulder.

“I’m so glad,” Liam said, smiling happily. “Do you guys want a snack or something?” Liam’s mom asked after a moment of silence. Celebratory, maybe?”

“That sounds great, yeah- I’m fine with anything, honestly,” Jared replied with a chuckle, nodding with a small smile.

“How about some grilled cheese?” She suggested, moving to grab a pan. “Oo, yes, please!”

“Mm, that sounds amazing right now,” Jared replied with a chuckle, nodding.

“Alright, well, I’ll whip them up for you guys- you can do whatever, I’ll call you back when they’re done,” she said with a smile, nodding. “Okay, thanks mom!” Liam said with a smile.

“Could we watch another movie?” Jared asked, looking over at Liam.

“Yeah, what do you wanna watch?” Liam said with a smile, walking towards the living room.

“Mm, maybe Onward? That’s a good movie,” Jared replied, following Liam into the living room and flopping down on the couch. He rolled over onto his back, gesturing for his boyfriend to come lay with him. -

“Oo, yes, lemme put it on, first,” Liam said with a giggle, grabbing the remote and putting the movie on. He then laid down on the couch, crawling under Jared’s arms and nuzzling into his neck. -

Jared smiled with content, moving Liam so he laid on top of him and holding him close. He rubbed his back with his hand, running the other one through his boyfriend’s hair.
