“She’s asleep, relax- And I’m just teasing~” Jared said with a quiet laugh, his words muffled in Liam’s hand. He gently grabbed his wrist, pulling his hand back a little and pressing a kiss on his palm.

“Okay, sorry,” Liam said, giggling awkwardly.

“It’s okay~” Jared spoke with a smile, humming softly. He went back to eating his grilled cheese, leaning against his side as he watched the movie.

Liam chuckled quietly, trying to get his face to stop blushing as he took the last few bites of his grilled cheese.

Jared began zoning out as he watched the movie, setting his half-eaten grilled cheese on the coffee table. He hugged his legs to his chest, resting his head on Liam’s shoulder.

“You’re not gonna finish that?” Liam asked, frowning a little as he finished his own.

“No, I’m not super hungry anymore- Maybe later,” Jared replied quietly, shaking his head.

“Are you okay? You were excited for the grilled cheese,” Liam said with a frown, watching Jared closely.

“Sorry, I’m just uhm- I dunno, I’m just not hungry anymore…”

“Hey, it’s okay,” Liam said softly, wrapping and arm around Jared. “Are you sure that’s all?”

“Maybe- I-I dunno, I’m still worried, I think,” Jared murmured, exhaling shakily.

“That’s fair,” Liam said softly, gently squeezing Jared. “I’m here if anything comes up you wanna talk about, okay?”

Jared nodded, leaning into Liam’s arms. “What if we can’t figure it out, what if- what if it happens to me again-“

“No, hun it won’t,” Liam said, frowning deeply. “We’ve got your dad on our side too- and stuff like this can and will get Pastor Matthew kicked out.”

Jared nodded, burying his face in Liam’s shoulder.
