“Almost got it, just put your thumb here,” Jared, reaching over and pointing to the correct key.

“Oh, right,” Liam nodded, readjusting his hand and pressing on the keys again.

“There we go~” Jared said with a chuckle, hugging Liam close. “You’ll be a pro in no time, I just know it~” He said, smiling as he kissed Liam’s cheek for a moment.

Liam flushed red, chuckling a little. “Thanks. I couldn’t do it without you, though~”

“Oh, I’m sure you could’ve, Mr. Genius~” Jared said with a chuckle, wrapping both his arms around Liam and kissing his cheek again. “Jared, honey, I’m home-“ Jared looked over, seeing his mother staring at them with a look of horror on her face. “Mom-“ Jared quickly let go of Liam, standing. “It’s- I was just- He wanted to learn piano, so-“

Liam froze, glancing over at Jared’s mom. “Yeah, he was just teaching me piano, Mrs. Smith-“

“That’s not what I saw,” Sarah spoke harshly, walking over and grabbing Jared by the wrist. “What- What do you think you doing, cuddling up with some boy?!” Jared yanked his hand away, fear and anger on his face. “He’s not some boy, he’s Liam! You’ve known him for years, Ma-“ “And yet here you are, hugging him and kissing his cheek?!” Sarah exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air.

“He- he didn’t, ma’am, it might’ve looked like it but he was trying to show me how to sit-“ Liam tried to say, fear in his eyes.

“Does your mother know about this rubbish?!” Sarah said, glaring at Liam. “Ma, just drop it!” “NO- I will no drop this, Jared! You- This isn’t right, boys liking each other!” Jared exhaled shakily, clenching his hands into fists. “I don’t care what you think is right! I- I love him, and he’s my boyfriend!”

Sarah froze, a look of horror and disgust washing over her face. Tears of anger filled her eyes and she brought a hand up, slapping Jared across the cheek. Jared yelped in pain and staggered back, squeezing his eyes shut and cupping his cheek in his hand. “Get the f--- out of my house, you disgusting f--,” Sarah spoke shakily, pointing at the door.

Liam frowned, jumping to his feet and in front of Jared. “C’mon, we can go to my house-“ he whispered, gently grabbing his boyfriends wrist.
