“Yep,” Jared said with a nod. He glanced over at Liam resting his hand beside his until their pinkies touched.

Liam smiled softly, taking his hand and twining their fingers together. “And how’s Michael doing?” She asked, glancing at them in the rear view mirror.

“He’s good- Think he’s got himself a boyfriend, now,” Jared said, chuckling softly. He glanced down at his and Liam’s hands, smiling a little as he squeezed his boyfriend’s hand gently.

“Aww, really??” Liam’s mom said with a smile. “What’s his boyfriend’s name?” “It’s Jeremy, mom, you’ve met him,” Liam said, smiling softly at Jared.

“Yeah, the taller brunette, always wears that blue sweater,” Jared replied, rubbing the back of Liam’s hand with his thumb. He glanced over, giving him a look as if to say, are we telling her about us?

“Ohh, okay!” She said with a giggle, nodding. Liam paused for a minute, shrugging.

He nodded a little, nudging his head up towards his mom. -
Jared furrowed his brows, pointing at himself. You want me to tell her? His face seem to say, a nervous look in his eyes.

Liam shrugged, glanxing up. I mean, I can-

Jared chuckled softly, leaning a little closer to Liam. “I kinda figured you’d want to tell her, since she is your mom,” he whispered softly, gently squeezing his hand.

“Oh, true,” Liam said with a giggle, going quiet for a moment before looking up. “Uh- mom?” “Yes, honey?” “Um- Sorry to tell you this so like, unofficially, but- Jared and I are dating.” “Oh- wow, I was not expecting that,” she said with an awkward giggle. “But I’m so happy for you two!”

Jared blushed and smiled, chuckling softly. “Thank you- But uh, if you could not say anything about, us dating, to my parents, that’d be great-“ He nervously rubbed his free hand against his jeans, exhaling softly.

“Oh, are they not accepting?” Liam’s mom asked, glancing at Jared through the mirror.

“My uhm, my mom’s not- I think my dad’s okay with this kind of stuff, but I haven’t talked to him about it,” Jared spoke softly, his voice shaky.

“Okay, hun, well,” His mom said, looking back at the road. “You’re safe with me, okay? And i won’t say anything to your mom.”
