“Okay- I shouldn’t be this nervous to drink, right? Maybe we shouldn’t do this-“ Evan said, glancing over at Connor across the kitchen in their apartment, finishing up cooking dinner before they left. -
Connor laughed softly, setting his phone on the counter. “Nah, I think it’s normal, at least for some people,” he said with a smile, running a hand through his hair.

“But- ugh, this is so stupid,” Evan muttered, serving some of the roasted vegetables onto two plates he had grabbed. “How did I get through high school and seriously not have any alcohol?”

“Honestly, it’s probably a good thing,” Connor said, chuckling softly. “I never really drank often, though, I preferred getting high to calm my nerves-“

“Yeah, I know,” Evan said with a quiet chuckle, glancing up at Connor. “But- what if I like it too much and get addicted and become an alcoholic and have to drop out of college and then- like-“

“Baby, a few drinks aren’t gonna get you addicted,” Connor said with a chuckle, moving from his seat at the bar and over to Evan. He rested his hands on the brunette’s waist, pulling him close. “Please don’t worry too much about it, okay?”

“I’m trying,” Evan groaned, leaning against Connor and wrapping his arms around his neck. “I dunno why I’m so nervous about it.”

Connor chuckled and kissed Evan’s cheek, humming softly. “I mean, if you’re that nervous about it, you don’t have to force yourself to drink any,” he spoke, holding his boyfriend close.

“But I want to,” Evan whined, studying Connor for a moment. “Can- ugh, just- let’s eat dinner, it’s getting cold.”

Connor laughed, pressing a kiss on Evan’s lips. “Just don’t force yourself, okay?”

Evan kissed him back for a moment before nodding and letting go of him. “I won’t, I won’t. Here~” he said, grabbing one of the plates and handing it to Connor.

“Mm, thanks, baby~” Connor said with a smile, letting go of Evan and taking the plate.
