"that's not very effective to keep them away. When my family spends on defense tools I only get one. Naturally I chose a switchblade. It's a very effective way to protect myself." Octavia said

"I think it's supposed to like, draw attention to you and hopefully scare the attack off? Make them think someone's gonna come and stop them or somethin'?" Adrienne replied, shrugging and yawning softly. "But switchblades are cool. I like Swiss army knifes, personally- more than one use, y'know~"

"swiss army knives are nice. I used to have one a few years ago but I brought it to school once and never saw it again." Octavia said

"I have one, but I keep it hidden," Adrienne said, chuckling softly. "Plus, if any teachers try to take my s---, I just refuse- I mean, I legally own it 'n s---, so they can't just take it from me."

"technically they can. If it can be seen as a threat or a distraction from class schools can legally confiscate it." Octavia said

"It's not like I hardly ever have it out, they just know and harass me about it because I'm "a problem student"," Quinn said, sighing softly. "It's like they just, know- I seriously just, keep it in my bag, I hardly ever take it out."

"you might have set off the metal detectors at some point... Oh! Do you have a hidden compartment in your bag?" Octavia asked. Octavia was very intrigued by the idea of hidden compartments, she was smiling just a bit.

"Yeah, that's where I keep the s--- I don't want the teachers to know about," Adrienne replied, giggling tiredly.

"that's genius! Hidden compartments are so complex in their manufacturing." Octavia said excitedly

"I know, right? They're pretty cool~" Adrienne replied with a tired smile, attempting to hold back a yawn but ultimately failing.

"they're super cool. I thought of making a few secret compartments in my bag but I'm not good at sewing." Octavia said

"I know how to, kinda," Adrienne replied, shrugging a little. "I mostly just know how to sew patches and stuff onto my clothes.

"that's very impressive! I've been trying to learn sewing for years. I'm good with cutting out patterns and measuring fabrics but I'm pretty bad with the actual stitching." Octavia said

"Ahh, that's cool, though-" Adrienne replied with a smile, nodding.
