"Hm? What??" Adrienne asked as they quickly sat up, trying to remember where they were. "Oh, hey, Octavia-"

"I'm sorry I was late. There was a crowd in the hall." Octavia said, electing not to sound lame by explaining how she refused to go through the crowd.

"Nah, you're good- those halls get crowded quickly, don't sweat it," Adrienne said with a small smile, watching Octavia sit down. "How's your day been?"

"it has been hectic. The lesson plans have been switched around with my teachers." Octavia said, trying her hardest to explain why her day was off.

"Damn, that sucks- I hate when that happens," Adrienne replied, nodding in understanding.

"it is especially frustrating when you've been studying for a test just for your teacher to decide on a random movie day." Octavia said

"Well, that sounds like a blessing in disguise to me, but I get it," Adrienne said with a quiet chuckle, nodding again.

"if I have all the material memorized for tomorrow I need the test to be tomorrow. Otherwise I'll have wasted a whole day." Octavia said. She opened the red folder, it was science.

"That's fair, yeah," Adrienne replied, nodding as they yawned softly and pulled out their notebooks from their bag.

Octavia looked through the science papers and glared at a particularly irritating equation. Octavia hated velocity.

Adrienne yawned again as they looked through their work, leaning against the table.

"physics is the worst of any requirement in this school system." Octavia declared boldly before looking to Adrienne for approval.

"It sounds awful, from what I've heard," Adrienne said with a chuckle, nodding. "I don't have to take it to graduate, do I?" They asked, frowning a little.

"not unless you're in the honors class. If you are in the honors class, respectively, you should probably downgrade." Octavia said.

"Oh thank God-" Adrienne said with a chuckle, running a hand through their hair. "And- no way in hell am I taking honors classes, that's way too much work."
