Nick introduced himself, waving slightly. “This is one of my first professional musicals, so bear with me.”

imsoclueless Senior"Well, if you got one of the lead roles, I'm sure you'll do great~" Karl said with a smile, nudging Nick's side.

Nick chuckled a bit, smiling politely at Karl and shrugging. “Let’s hope so.” He turned his attention to the next person in the circle, folding his hands behind his back.

imsoclueless SeniorKarl watched Nick for a moment with a longing look before looking at the person beside him, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Alright, so, today we’ll do a read-over of the script,” The director said. “So, find a seat, wherever you want. Somewhere close, and find somewhere you’ll be comfortable, because the read-through will be somewhat lengthy.”

Nick also grabbed his things, finding a seat in the audience in the second row, his friend sitting next to him.

“So, do you guys know why I called you here today,” The director, Kathy, said to Nick and Karl who were stood up on the stage next to each other. The silence prodded her to continue speaking. “Because your character, Nick, is Karl’s characters main love interest. First off, do you two know each other at all outside of this production?”
“Uh, no,” Nick answered, shaking his head. -
imsoclueless Senior"Yeah- No, yeah, we uh- we kind of just met," Karl replied, quickly fixing his mistake. Please don't notice that, oh my god-

The director nodded, hugging a clipboard to her torso. “Okay, so, in this musical, you two do kiss a few times. Some actors like to get to know the other one, some like to stay distant to make it less awkward. Whatever works for you both, but this is a professional production, so keep any sort of personal drama out of it.”
Nick nodded, folding his hands in front of him. He didn’t care to much about that, as long as Karl didn’t turn out to be a creep. But he didn’t seem like one so far. “Alright, we’re going to try out scene three, when you two meet, okay?”
