Ernest was blushing. A lot. "I don't!"

Mahina giggled. ‘You do!’

Ernie huffed, not arguing since it clearly wasn't doing him much good.

Mahina laughed. ‘We should get started on dinner.’

"Yes, we should." Ernest agreed quickly.

Mahina chuckled and grabbed the sausages out of a small hole in the ground. It was supposed to keep them cool. She lit a fire under the stove and unwrapped the butchers paper.

"How do you want me to help?"

‘Do you know how to boil potatoes?’

"Yes. Do you want me to skin them first though?"

‘Nah, they’re fine with the skin on. But if you prefer it without skin you can.’

Ernie thought about that before digging through his satchel and grabbing his pocketknife. He skinned a couple of the potatoes quickly.

Mahina grabbed out a frying pan and set two sausages on it.

Ernest grabbed a pot and boiled the potatoes, cleaning off his knife while he waited.

Mahina turned the sausages over every once in a while.

Ernie wanted to wait a bit longer until bringing up the bag again, but his curiosity almost couldn't take it. "So..."
