Chester laughed softly, hugging Jayden close with his arms, then his wings. ‘No you don’t, sweetheart. I love you the most.’

Jayden shook his head. "No way." He murmured.

Chester kissed his neck. ‘C’mon, let’s go into your room. Unless you have stuff to do.’

Jayd shrugged. "We can go to my room."

Chester stood up, letting go of Jayden to do so.

Jayden did the same, walking out of the kitchen.

Chester followed him, resting a hand on his waist. When they got to Jayden’s room, there was a note on the door.
“Be at the surgery room at 6pm. We can start about an hour earlier than expected. - Oliver” -
Jayd took the note in his hand, showing it to Chester.

Chester looked at the note. He didn’t say anything as he walked inside Jayden’s room. ‘Where’s I put my pocket watch again? After Astrid broke it?’

Jayden thought for a bit. "It should just be on my desk, why?"

Chester walked to Jayden’s desk. He rummaged around. ‘It’s not here.’

Jayden frowned. He walked over, checking as well, even looking through the drawers. "No no no." He muttered angrily. If he'd lost Chester's pocket watch he'd never forgive himself. "Maybe the nightstand?"

Chester hurried over to the nightstand and rummaged through the drawers. ‘It’s not here!’ he exclaimed, voice laced with panic. He turned into a half-cat, then a half-goat. ‘Wh-Where would it be? f---!’ He turned into a half-bird.

Jayden noticed how panicked his boyfriend was getting- it was hard not to- and ran up to him, wrapping him tight in his arms. "Chester. Relax." He said quietly. "Deep breaths. It'll be easier to find it with a more relaxed mind."

Chester whimpered, burying his face into Jayden’s shirt. He tried to slow his shaky breathing. ‘W-We need to find it!’ he said in a panicked voice, hands clinging to his boyfriend.
