Chester kissed the corner of his lips before standing up. ‘Tell me what happens, okay?’ he whispered, before walking to the door.

Jayden blushed, nodding. "Bye." He said softly.

Chester shut the door behind him. He sighed but stayed right outside, wondering if he’d be able to hear them through the door.

"Finally." Caden muttered. "Alright, lets get down to business."

Chester listened through the door. He could hear this voice, and some of the words spoken.

Caden picked up the contract Chester had signed. "Nice job, getting him to sign it." He approved, which somehow sounded worse than if he'd yelled at Jayden again. "How'd you manage it?"
Jayden grit his teeth slightly. "Y'know, the good old fashioned 'wouldn't you do this if you really loved me?' stuff." -
Chester peeked through the keyhole. He couldn’t see much, just Caden standing over Jayden.

Caden smirked. "Well done." He consulted a map after checking the contract and circled some land from Chester's kingdom with his finger, at the same spot where the military base was. "I say we take the land right here, yes?" He looked up at the rest of the board.

Chester obviously couldn’t see where he was pointing, but he hoped it was the land with the military base. It was a very secluded area, so no villages or buildings for miles around.

The rest of the board nodded- it looked like most of them were anticipating this. Caden turned to Jayden with a face that told him everything he needed to know without actually saying anything, which was that he couldn't say no.
"Fine by me." Jayden shrugged. -
Chester still spied on them through the door.
Caden smirked. ‘Excellent!’ -
Jayden shrugged. "Anything else?"

Caden looked somewhat pissed Jayden had barely reacted to this news. ‘I don’t know. Is there anything else we need to discuss?’

Jayd noticed his facial expression. "Can I tell Chester about this, or are you going to keep this a secret from him too?"

Absolutely not! Do not, under any circumstances, tell him of our plan.’
