Chester smiled weakly. He watched him leave, then turned back around in his seat and sighed.

"Why can't he come to the meeting?" Jayden asked angrily once the doors shut. "He'd have good ideas!"

‘He’s a threat, Jayden! And besides, he can’t know about some of the things we talk about,’ Caden said, matching his tone of voice. ‘Now are you going to keep being a brat or follow me?’

"A threat? To who?!" Jayden snapped, even though he knew the answer. "Oh, and god forbid he finds out that we finds out what we talk about. The sky would fall if that ever happened." Even though he wasn't going to stop being a brat, he followed Caden.

Caden opened the door. ‘Shut up and get inside,’ he snapped. ‘God forbid I have to deal with a little s--- like you for another two years.’

Jayden glared. "God forbid I end up having to listen to your stupid s--- for that long." He snapped back before walking in.

Caden scowled and took his seat.
Chester eventually stood up and walked to the door, hands in his pockets. He remembered he and Jayden were supposed to go to some girl to get his watch fixed, and he hoped they’d get a chance to do so. He glanced at Astrid, sighing before opening the door to the hall. -
Jayd sat down. "So, I'm guessing this meeting's about the whole forcing Chester to give his land to us situation? Because I've got it signed, I'll just put the paper here later."

Caden raised an eyebrow. ‘You actually got him to sign it?’ he asked, surprise evident on his face.

Jayden nodded. "Yeah, I did." He noticed Caden's expression. "Is that a problem? Because you're acting weird about it."

‘I just didn’t think you had the guts, Celeste. But no matter, this will make things a lot easier.’

Jayden glared. "What're we here for, then?" He hated beating around the bush, and he didn't want to leave Chester alone for too long.

‘Well, first of all, where’s the contract?’ Caden snapped.

"It's in his room. I can grab it right now, but knowing me I'd get carried away and probably end up bringing Chester in here, and only god knows just how terrible that'd be."

Caden scowled. ‘Why, you little-‘
