Chester smiled. ‘Yeah. Did you?’ he pulled him closer, tucking a curl behind his ear.

Jayd blushed. "Yeah, I had a good sleep." He nodded. He didn't say anything for a moment before he remembered Caden told him he had to have results by 3 today. He sighed quietly.

Chester kissed his jaw. ‘That’s good. Do you want to get ready or stay in bed a bit longer?’

Jayden blushed. "Stay here a bit longer." He smiled.

Chester smiled and nestled into him. ‘Okay.’
(Imma go back to sleep since it’s like 5am, I’ll see u in a couple hours :)) -
(Ok, bye!)
Jayden wrapped his arms around him. He tried to think of how to word his next sentence before sighing.
"Chester? I have a... A bit of a weird favor to ask of you." -
Chester played with his hair. ‘Go on.’

Jayd leaned into him. "Would you..." He knew once he said it he couldn't take it back. "Would you, by any chance, be interested in giving me some of your land? Maybe?"

Chester pulled his head back and frowned slightly, looking at him. ‘Excuse me?’

Jayd winced. "W-well, it's just because... Y'know, my kingdom has more people than yours, y'know?" It wasn't a lie technically, but it was a terrible excuse. He did have more people in his kingdom, but only by 50 or so. A lot, for sure, but 100 acres was too much, he knew that. He felt horrible for lying and asking for such a huge favor of him.

Chester’s brows furrowed. ‘I-I guess… but not by very much. I don’t understand.’

Jayden sighed. "W-well, I mean... I-I just." He paused. He couldn't think of anything to say other than 'well, me and the board were just talking and figured...' which would give it away. He bit his lip slightly. Please, please just say yes. Don't make me have to be manipulative. Please.

Chester’s jaw clenched as he watched Jayden. He knew his boyfriend would never try and use him, not after everything they’d been through. But it was such a bizarre request, and it reminded him of a similar question Beatrice had asked him.
‘You just what?’ -
"I... I just figured I'd ask, since you have so much land in your kingdom, y'know?" Jayden had to stop saying y'know whenever he lied. He noticed Chester's jaw clench. He wanted to fess up and explain exactly why he asked, but he couldn't, unless he wanted to practically hand the crown to Astrid.

Chester pulled away from him. ‘I’ll, uh, I’ll think about it,’ he said quietly, hoping that would make the topic go away. He’d noticed how much Jayden repeated the word “y’know”. His brows furrowed.
