Jayd kissed Chester’s head again. “Love you.” He said before leaving.

'Love you too.' Chester looked at Astrid once Jayden had left, wondering what he would do. Jayden's parents weren't there.

Astrid smirked. “Finally. I thought he’d never leave.”

Chester looked down.

“Well don’t go avoiding eye contact.” Astrid chuckled. “So… tell me about yourself.” The question was innocent enough-or at least, it sounded like it.

Chester looked up at him. 'What do you want to know?'

“Anything. Family, what your kingdom is like, why you have such low standards that you chose Jayden…” Astrid chuckled. “I mean, really? I would’ve thought a king- even one like you- wouldn’t be searching at the bottom of the barrel.”

'He's better than you,' Chester mumbled.

“Ah, ah, ah, remember what I said about snippy comments? Besides, that’s not much of an answer.”
Jayd walked in the room. “Alrighty, let’s do this.” -
Caden looked up, smirking. 'Welcome.'
'Or what, you'll take my watch again?' Chester mumbled, looking back down. 'Weak threat.' -
That smirk didn’t bode well for the rest of the meeting. Jayden sighed, sitting down.
“Do you want to test that?” Astrid snapped. “Now look up, there’s nothing important in the floorboards.” -
Caden grinned evilly. He pulled out a map and set it on the table.
Chester reluctantly look up. 'Fine.' -
Jayd saw the map, fingernails digging into his hand as they clenched into fists.
Astrid smirked. “Tell me about yourself.” He repeated. -
Chester sighed, avoiding his gaze. 'I'm bi, I have a little sister... What do you want to know?'
Jayden's territory was highlights in yellow, Chester's in red. 'Our aim,' Caden said, 'is to obtain at least 100 acres of Jackson's land.'
