Chester started pacing. He had nothing to fiddle with so he picked at the skin on his hand. ‘Where is it?’

Jayden noticed, offering him his hand so he didn't pick at his own. "I don't know..." He murmured.

Chester grabbed his hand, holding it tightly. He buried his face in his other one.

"We'll find it." Jayd said quietly, wrapping his arms around him.

Chester buried his face in Jayden’s shoulder, and turned into a half rabbit. ‘Wh-What if we don’t?’

Jayd thought for a bit, trying to think of the best thing to say to him. "We will. Promise."

Chester nodded, trying not to think of the worst case scenario. There was a knock at the door.

Jayden looked at the door. "Come in." He asked, wondering why someone would be knocking so early in the morning.

It was Caden. He walked inside, completely ignoring Chester. ‘Have you made your decision, Jayden?’

Jayd looked up at Caden. "Not yet." He said quietly, trying to hide his fear. "Please, give me more time."

Caden narrowed his eyes. Chester looked up at Jayden. ‘What decision?’
‘That’s none of your concern, rabbit.’ Caden turned back to Jayden. ‘We agreed you would decide today.’ -
"Don't call him a rabbit." Jayden glared. "Besides, I didn't know it'd be in the morning!"

Caden growled. ‘By midday, Jayden, or we’ll decide for you.’ With that, he walked out of the room.

Jayd sighed, leaning into Chester slightly.

Chester held him close. ‘What decision?’
