Chester frowned, pulling him into a half-hug. ‘What did they say?’

Jayden leaned into him more. "Nothing. Don't worry about it." He said quietly.

Chester sighed, but knew better than to pry. ‘Alright,’ he murmured, pulling Jayden close as he leaned against the headboard. ‘So long as you’re ok.’

Jayd gave a weak nod. "Mhm."

Chester kissed his shoulder and held up the half-eaten bar of chocolate. ‘Want some?’

Jayd gave a small smile, breaking off some of the chocolate. "Thanks."

Chester smiled, holding him close, trying to comfort him as best as he could. He caressed his cheek softly. ‘So today hasn’t been exactly what we planned, huh?’

Jayden shook his head, taking a bite of the chocolate. "Nope."

Chester smiled softly, kissing the top of his head. ‘Tomorrow’ll be better.’

Will it, though? Jayden gave a weak smile. "It better be." He mumbled.

Chester laughed softly, nuzzling into him.

Jayden blushed, letting him.

Chester smiled, pulling him closer. ‘Love you.’ -
Jayd let him with a small smile. "Love you too. No matter what."
