‘You’re not a dumb blond,’ Chester chuckled, rolling his eyes.

Jayden chuckled. "Agree to disagree." He shrugged.

Chester huffed, pulling him close.

"What?" Jayd laughed, kissing his cheek.

‘You’re dumb if you really think so,’ Chester mumbled.

"At least you admit it." Jayden chuckled, leaning into him.

‘You actually believe you’re dumb?!’

"Well I'm not exactly intelligent..." Jayd kissed his nose. "It's fine. I've got a smart boyfriend to help me out."

‘I’m not that smart,’ Chester murmured, blushing slightly.

"Stop lying." Jayd chuckled.

‘I’m not! What have I ever done that’s smart?’

"You're productive, responsible, and smart enough not to cause too much trouble in your kingdom. Now, stop being modest about it."

‘I’ve barely gotten any work done in the past week, barely responsible, and my own advisor said I was ‘blinded’,’ Chester pointed out, using finger quotes.

"That's only been a week though." Jayden protested. "You're plenty responsible, and besides, that's Caden's claim too, so I doubt it's actually true."

Chester smiled weakly, nuzzling into him. ‘Thanks.’
