Jayden sighed. “I… I don’t know.” He admit.

'You're not leaving me, are you?' Chester said nervously, fiddling with the chain of his pocket watch.

Jayd looked down at the floor. “I have no idea, ok?” He admit quietly.

Chester nodded shakily. 'O-Ok.' He paused. 'Do you want me to leave?'

Jayden sighed. “I’m leaving to go get breakfast anyways.” He shrugged.

'Do you want me to walk with you? Or take the long way?'

“I don’t care.” Jayd mumbled, opening the door.

Chester followed him like a little puppy. Especially since at that moment he grew dog ears and a tail.

Jayden noticed, and almost cracked a smile. Almost.

Chester forced a smile when he looked at him.

Jayd gave a small forced smile back. They both got to the kitchen.

Chester opened the door for Jayden.

Jayden walked through. “Thanks.” He mumbled.

Chester’s tail wagged, which deeply irritated him. He followed Jayden inside.
