Jayden kept splashing both of them.

Chester watched from the shore, leaning on his hands. He wanted to join in, but he wanted to make sure they didn’t get hurt, too. Maeve and Lavender were having a full on water fight.

Jayden noticed Chester staring. He walked up to him and offered his hand to take him into the water.

Chester took his hand and kissed the back of it, trying to avoid going into the water.

"Do you not want to go in the water?"

‘Not really.’ Chester played with his hands.

"Okay." Jayden sat down next to him.

Chester kissed the side of his head.

Jayden leaned into him.

Chester let him, smiling. ‘Wanna make a sand castle?’

Jayden nodded, sitting up.

Chester made a pile of sand.

Jayden started packing the sand together. "Do you have a bucket?"

‘No, I don’t think so,’ Chester said.

"Okay." Jayden just kept packing the sand in. "It'll wind up looking more like a sand pyramid."
