Chester was payed with his hair. ‘I don’t want to cause a scandal by going to your kingdom to see you.’

"I don't want you to break up with me." Jayden mumbled, looking up at him. "I don't care if it's fake or not."

Chester cupped his cheek. ‘I don’t want to either.’

Jayden leaned into his touch. "Do you really think you'll have to do all that?"

‘I don’t know, darling. Hopefully not.’

Jayden frowned, but nodded. "Okay."

Chester held him close.

Chester kissed the top of his head. ‘What do you think I should say about my parents?’

"Do you think your parents would be okay with you denying it?"

‘I guess. If it means Maeve doesn’t have to be queen, probably.’

Jayden nodded. "I could help her rule, if it has to come to that."

‘Thank you,’ Chester mumbled, snuggling close.

Jayden let him with a shaky exhale, holding him close.
