His father nodded in understanding. He'd already heard what happened, but wanted to see if Chester would mention anything else. "I see."

Chester leaned his head on his father's shoulder. He was still a physical being, but he felt different to a human. Colder and more gaseous. 'He said you and mother would be disappointed in me.' -
Chester's father pulled him closer. "As if he would know." He said with a dismissive shrug.

Chester looked up at him, eyes welling with tears. They weren’t sad tears, just emotional tears.

His father just smiled and kissed the top of his head.

Chester leaned into his touch, sighing softly.

"Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?"

Chester thought for a moment. ‘I kicked Grandmother out.’

His father nodded. "I've heard."

‘Oh. Did you watch?’
