Chester fidgeted with the chain of his pocket watch.

"Chester, you can talk to me about anything."

'I know,' Chester mumbled.

He frowned. "Is there anything else you'd like to talk about before I go?"

Chester shook his head, giving a smile.

His father smiled back, giving him a tight hug- though it didn't feel awfully tight due to the gaseousness he felt like to Chester- before he stood up.

Chester hugged him back, then looked up at him as he stood.

He looked at Jayden. "Take care of him." Jayden of course nodded immediately, and he turned back to his son.

Chester looked between them.

"I love you." His father said with a warm smile. He was starting to fade away.

'Love you too,' Chester said, smiling back.

His father messed up his hair one last time before fading away completely.

Chester watched him fade. He smiled to himself and looked at Jayden.

Jayden looked at him, smiling. He tackled his boyfriend in a hug.

Chester laughed, falling back onto the grass on his back. He hugged Jayden back.
