Maeve ate her food quickly and disappeared. Jayd pat his head.

Chester leaned into his touch.

Jayden let him, smiling.

Chester grinned.

Jayden chuckled. "I love you." He mumbled.

(How can cats grin ignore that)
Chester mewled. -
(Cats can grin it's alg)
Jayd let him, petting the top of his head. He paused. "You don't think I'll ever be a part of your family, do you?" He asked quietly, wondering if that was why he sounded so uncertain earlier. -
Chester looked up at him. He shook his cat head, meaning to say “I don’t think that”.

Jayden smiled weakly. "Then why were you sounding so unsure when talking about your grandmother to Maeve?"

Chester mewled.

Jayden grumbled. "You should shift back into a human so we can talk." He asked with a small chuckle.

Chester mewled stubbornly. He climbed back onto his chair and morphed into a human.

"Can you answer the question now?"

‘I was uncertain about the part about my parents. Not about you, love.’

Jayd frowned. "Why would they be disappointed?"
