"He's going to have to get used to it. Unless you'd rather hide from your own family." Henry snorted, looking very amused.

'Maybe my own family is a bunch of a--holes,' Chester snapped/. -
"You can't just kick us to the curb." Henry scoffed.
Jayden leaned into his boyfriend, the words repeating in his head. Henry was right. He would have to get used to it at some point. -
'I'd try and go non contact by law if it wouldn't create a scandal,' Chester muttered.

Henry glared, stood up, and walked out.

Chester pulled Jayden closer.

Jayd leaned into him.
Maeve watched the two of them, very confused. "What did grandma say?" She asked quietly. -
Chester rubbed the back of Jayden’s hand. ‘A bunch of stuff about how Jayden will never be apart of our family, how my parents are disappointed in me…’

Jayden wrapped an arm around him, looking down. Maeve looked very pissed off by that.

Chester wrapped an arm around his shoulders and kissed the top of his head. ‘She was wrong, of course,’ he said, but he wasn’t so sure about the second part.

Jayden could hear the uncertainness in his voice. He looked up, frowning slightly.

Chester absentmindedly played with Jayden’s hair.

Jayd leaned into his touch. Their food came.
