Jayden went silent for a second. "It won't." He said quietly. "Because I've got you as my look out."

Chester looked up at him, tears streaming down his face. 'Promise?'

Jayden wiped his tears away, nodding. "Promise."

Chester relaxed, leaning into his touch. 'I'm sorry, I'm such a mess...'

"It's okay, you don't need to be sorry for anything."

‘A-Are you sure?’

"Yes, I'm sure." Jayden kissed his nose.

Chester sighed softly, looking down.

"Do you want me to grab you some breakfast, or do you want to come with me?"

‘Can I come with you?’ He didn’t want to be left alone

"Of course." Jayden offered his hand, standing up.

Chester wiped his eyes and stood up, grabbing his hand.

Jayden kissed his hand, smiling softly.

Chester gave a weak smile, looking away.
