"it holds you down." Florence said. He remembered being restrained by the scavenger's daughter once. He couldn't fly for awhile afterwards as it effectively broke his wings.

Collins looked back at the machine, thankful she'd never had to face anything in her life.

"the creator will get rid of it when he comes back." Florence said. He mimicked the words and voice of his creator the exact way he'd heard all those years ago. "These devices are inhumane, they're... wrong! How dare you use these on my experiments, obsidian! Florence is still in shock you get away from him!" The voice clip Florence mimicked ended with the sound of glass shattering.

Collins watched him asnhe mimicked the voices, pursing her lips. 'How long has he been gone?'

"I don't know. The creator didn't teach me to tell time yet." Florence said all he remembered was the waiting and searching for the heart

Collins nodded. 'Has it felt like a long time?'

"I feel like the creator has been gone for forever. But the creator has to come back some day. The heart is here." Florence said holding up the heart shaped box.

'What if he doesn't?' Collins asked.

"he has to." Florence said. He mimicked the sound of metal scraping. "The creator has to return."

'But if he doesn't?'

"I.... I don't want to talk about that." Florence said. He mimicked speaker feedback. He didn't want to imagine that terrible outcome

'Alright,' Collins said, not speaking any more about it.

A roar could be heard from the floors below. Florence mimicked it back, louder. It then paced the floor

The road startled Collins. 'What was that?' she asked, looking around.
