"don't know." Florence said as he continued to pace the floor. He mimicked the roar again even louder

'How far away it it?-

"about one to two floors down." Florence said, listening in on the faint noise of the beast from below the mimicking growls

'Do you think it has the urge or kill something?' she asked.

"can't tell." Florence said. He continued pacing and smelled the air. It smelled like rain. He almost looked like a weird dog.

Collins stood very still. It felt like every sound she made would make the creature hear them, however ridiculous it seemed.

"it's searching for something." Florence said listening to it's growls and grumbles.

'What do you think it's looking for?'

"problem the creator." Florence said. Everyone was looking for the creator to fix everything. Everything was Better when the creator was there.

'Oh,' Collins said. She wondered if their creator would ever return, and if he didn't, if these creatures would spend the rest of their lives looking and waiting. It didn't seem right.

Florence finally stopped pacing and walked further into the research room wherein there was a large pit with a cage suspended above the bottom. It looked like a pool almost. Florence shrieked and tried to climb the wall getting half of the way up before looking down.

Collins hurried after him after hearing the shriek to see what was the matter. 'What's wrong?' she asked, then looked down into the pit. 'What's THAT?'

"the vat." Florence croaked crawling up further on the wall. His eyes seemed to dance with fear looking at the pit. He mimicked the hissing sound of a cat as well as a cicada call at the same time

'The vat?' Collins asked. 'What on earth is that?' She cringed at how Dr Suess-y she sounded.
