Eventually, the girls work up and wondered out of the tent. After about an hour Aria followed them but then at down in a corner away from everyone else.
-
"okay everyone, today I was actually able to get something nice for breakfast." Javas said, opening the bag. He handed out the donut holes and watched everyone eat. He noted how one of the seven year olds removed all of the sprinkles from his doughnut holes before eating them.
-
Aria gave her donut a little nibble before setting it down beside her and leaving it. She didn't fancy any food when she was sad or in a mood. Unfortunately, that was most of the time for her.
-
Javas ate his food in peace and watched a billboard clock that was slowly inching towards church time. He hoped it was a short rant so he could get out fast.
-
Aria offered her donut back to Javas then titled her head, and gestured with her hands. 'when are we going to get some food' was the message she was trying to get across.
-
"we should probably head for the church now. It's a bit of a long walk." Javas said. He put the doughnut holes in his pocket. "Matthew, me and Aria are going to the church service today for fresh food so watch over everyone while I'm gone okay?" Javas said. Matthew responded with a sure

Aria stood up, brushing the dirt of her leggings. There were quite dirty already and only went down to her calf. They weren't meant to be short trousers either. It was such a struggle buying clothes nowadays. Ari shook the thought of and followed Javas up the path.
-
"when we get inside stick close to me okay? I don't trust the pastor and I don't trust the other people attending." Javas said standing in front of the church. He noticed how the pastor looked at Maya when he tried to bring everyone to the service and he noticed how mothers never left their daughters alone with the clergy.
-
Ari nodded looking up at the church. She shuddered slightly but her face stayed blank. She glanced at Javas, then back at the church.
-
Javas opened the door and the first thing that hit him was the smell of food from the dining hall. There was a lot of chicken. Some was from KFC some was from a crockpot. It all smelled good to him. He was tempted to just go into the dining hall and steal all the food but he knew if they did that they'd never be allowed back
-
Aria inhaled the fresh smell of fried. chicken. It smelt amazing compared to the stale bread they usually had. Before she had run away, she'd insisted to her Dad she was a vegetarian, but now she was finally looking forward to a meal which never happened. She turned to Javas wondering when they would "steal" the food.
-
"we gotta sit down and pretend to listen to the pastor first. It's like working for a meal." Javas said. He hated listening to whatever the pastor would talk about but the food was definitely worth it. He could almost smell cherries. He couldn't help but smile about the thought of eating fruit again. Cherries were his favorite food before the accident and his aunt was allergic.
-
Aria wrinkled her nose at the thought of listening through a boring lecture about religious stuff, but nodded agreeing that it was worth it for the food.
(It's just in the rp, sorry if it causes any offence) -
Dw, I'm an atheist))
The lecture was a painful hour of talking about how homeless people were at fault for being homeless and how the pastor "used to be a bad person" like he ever stopped. Finally though, the Bible lecture was over and the pastor dismissed everyone to go eat. "I'm telling you Aria, the food is really fresh here." Javas said -
Aria smiled and nodded. It smelt it. She followed Javas up to one of the tables where delicious fried chicken was awaiting.
