'So,' Callum said, but didn't say anything more?

“So… were you the one that names this place Land of the Freaks?”

'No. It's was my father's idea, actually.'

“Your dad named this place?” Eli asked with a frown. “Seems kinda mean, considering it was just you him and your mom I assume. What happened?”

'Well, my mother and father were "freaks", I guess. My dad has a face disfigurement and my mother is a dwarf. They said it seemed it fit to be called the Land of The Freaks, especially because it has talking cats.'

“Oh, I see.” Eli said, feeling bad for assuming. “Why’d they leave you here? And don’t say it’s your fault, because there’s no way it is.”

'I'm not sure,' Callum lied, though I was obvious he knew perfectly well. 'Here we are, my room.'

Eli walked in, looking around at all the decor and-of course- cats. They let Ralph down on the floor. “This rooms so cool.”

'Thank you,' Callum smiled. There was art on the walls and a few photos, and Callum's bed was pretty large.

Eli sat down on the hardwood floor, smiling. “So… what d’you wanna do?”

'Not sure.'

“Well…. Could you tell me more about this place? I still have so many questions.”

'Like what?'

“How’d you find out how to leave? How’d your parents come here? How is this place able to sustain itself? And why do you keep avoiding questions involving your parents leaving?” Eli paused at the last one. “Sorry, you don’t have to talk about the last one.”

'My parents showed me the trick of how to leave when I was younger. I just never did it that often, because I didn't like the outside world. My parents created this place before I was born.'
