'Pleeeeeease?' Eve pleaded.
'No,' Natsuki said. -
Eve pouted. "Will you play with me?" She asked Nik, and he shook his head, smiling.

Eve sighed and ran off to go play with some other kids her age. Natsuki chuckled.

"Poor girl, stuck playing with kids her age." Daniel said, laughing.

Natsuki laughed too, watching Eve play with some girls.

Nik watched her play, grinning.

'So, I haven't seen you in a while,' Daniel said, turning to Nat. 'And you refused to talk last time I saw you.'
Natsuki nodded, still watching Eve. Daniel frowned. -
Nikolai raised an eyebrow. "You gonna tell him?" He mouthed to Nat.

Natsuki shrugged.

"What's going on?" Daniel asked curiously. "Is something wrong?"

Natsuki shook her head.

"Ok..." Daniel looked at Nik with a curious expression, and Nik just shrugged.

Natsuki watched Eve play. The little girl reminded her of her own sister. Ming wouldn't take no for an answer when she asked Nat to play with her. She'd join in with whatever Nat was doing, even if it was just homework. Natsuki had to teach her sister algebra.

Nikolai watched Nat's facial expression change, and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "You alright?" -

Natsuki nodded, all sorts of memories flooding back to her.
