"If there's elves, why wouldn't there be magic?" Oberon says, making the bruh face at her.
-
Akari smiled, ignoring his sarcasm. 'Could you show me some?' she asked excitedly.
-
-
Oberon nods, smiling. He crouched down, grabbed a nearby stone, and drew a rune in the dirt. "This rune summons a small light sphere." He says, drawing a circle around the rune, and a small orb appears at eye level of Akari.
-
'Woah,' she said, inspecting it closely. She looked for a string or some kind of giveaway that it wasn't real, but she could find one.
Akari laughed to herself. 'That is so cool!' she exclaimed, smiling. -
Couldn't, not could*
-
"I'm surprised Humans haven't found out how to harness the magic inside them." Oberon says, tilting his head thoughtfully.
-
'I don't think humans even knew it existed,' Akari said, still staring at the sphere. 'Even if we did, we'd probably use it for war and stuff. Not floating light balls.'
-
"True." Oberon sighs. "I still wonder what happens to humans that made them so power hungry..." He says, then looks up. "We're at the gardens, look." He says, pointing ahead.
-
'Woah,' she whispered, jogging toward. Hundreds of lush flowers grew in lines, many were breeds she'd never seen before. A dirt path wound around these lines, and in the middle of it all was a pond.
'The magic must be doing its job,' she muttered, grinning.
'This is so cool!' she exclaimed, for the millionth time that hour. -
"You really like saying that, don't you?" Oberon says as he laughs.
-
Akari smiled. 'I suppose,' she shrugged. She looked back to the flowers, tilting her head at them.
-
"My mother used to come out here." Oberon says out of the blue.
-
Akari turned back to him. 'Used to?' she enquired.
-
"She's sick. There's been a sickness going around, and a lot of elves are getting sick." Oberon says.
