Jasper crumbles to the ground, hugging his leg, cursing in the Elven language. Damian rolls his eyes, sighing with a slight smile. "Don't be so dramatic, you'll be fine."
"E-easy for you t-to say! You d-didn't get hit in t-the leg!" Jasper exclaims, writhing in pain.
Olive staring into space and Ace did a facepalm, groaning softly at how embarrassed he is for their sakes. -
She laughs more at their reactions, and goes to the tree and sits down, starting to weave another flower crown. she notes that the flowers around that area are dying, and, when she waves her hand over them, they don't heal. she furrows her brow, the leans closer to them.

Olive notices Karentina's frustration and sits down beside her. "Having some trouble? If so, how may I assist?" She smiles, eager to help in any way she can.

"oh, alright. i don't know why this happened, it usually heals..." her brows furrows even more, and, to focus more, she brushes the hair from in front of her eye, exposing it's unusual coloring. the iris is a light golden color, with tinges of red ringing the pupil. "it's so weird..."

Olive takes no notice of Karentina's eye, but instead focuses on growing another flower. It blooms, but soon it withers just like the other one. "How peculiar..."

she searches around in the grass around the flowers, and finds a dark purple gem. she gasps and drops it as her fingertips turn black where they touched it. "what is this?!? it seems like a kind of death gem or something!" she exclaims, staring as the grass and flowers around it wither and die.

Ace was lurking nearby the two and attempts picking up the gem, it didn't hurt him, but his horns and claws start glowing purple along with it. "Who would drop such a precious jewel here...?"

she looks at it, then looks at the flowers. she passes a hand over them, and they bloom without withering afterward. "i don't know what it was, but it looks like it was the cause of those plants withering." she says, looking at the gem in fear.

Ace shrugs and puts the gem in his pocket. "Glad I could be of service." He wanders back to the small pond, skipping rocks on it. "I wonder why Ace wasn't affected by the gem and you were." Olive thought aloud.

she then realizes her hair wasn't in front of her eye, and goes to put it back in place, but then thinks better of it, knowing she's with good people. instead, she goes back to healing the plants. "maybe it just doesn't affect dragonborns or something." she mumbles.

Olive was staring at Karentina's eye, then slowly, she puts her hand on Karentina's cheek, rubbing it gently. "Your eye... it's gorgeous." She says, breathlessly awestruck.

She blushes, staring at Olive. "You are too..." She says, looking away. "What is happening?" She thought.

Olive smiles warmly, then hugs Karentina. "Never think of yourself any lower. You deserve happiness."

she looks away sadly, as if remembering something sad. "i used to be happy... until an accident happened. my... friends brother was found with a... bad group of people. there was no turning him back. so he's gone..." Karentina looked like he was more than just a friend's brother, something more, maybe. "that's the real reason i got this scar. he reached for me, pleaded for me to not let them kill him, and when i said no, he cut my arm so it would never heal properly."

Olive was shocked, she knew something bad must have happened to Karentina to make that scar, but she wasn't expecting this. She hugs Karentina again, making comforting circles into her back with her thumb.
"It wasn't your fault." She says softing into her ear.
